National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are based on nationally agreed standards of competence. The standards are combined into units of competence. Individuals achieve NVQ's by accumulating these units.

The NVQ is achieved by producing a portfolio of evidence of personal work demonstrating competence against the standards, supported by a narrative confirming underpinning knowledge.

DMS provides you with a personal consultant to support you in building the portfolio and preparing you for assessment. We can also provide a workshop-based programme for larger groups.

DMS offers the following NVQs:

Personnel Levels 3, 4, 5
Learning & Development Levels 3, 4, 5
Management Levels 3, 4, 5
Level 3 is intended for support level staff
Level 4 is intended for management level
Level 5 is for those working at a more strategic level

It is possible to complete the NVQ programme within a year. DMS provides individual programmes which can lead to a successful assessment within three months.
